Hey lovelies!
This week I'm sharing two cards using Waffle Flower's "Office Birthday" stamp set, both relatively simple to make!
This week I'm sharing two cards using Waffle Flower's "Office Birthday" stamp set, both relatively simple to make!
I was instantly drawn to these adorable hamsters as soon as I saw this set! I had to make a birthday card using them and decided to go for a more masculine feel, keeping the hamsters as the pop of colour in the corner!
I stamped my images using my Misti stamping platform with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black ink. I coloured them with my alcohol markers, added some details and highlights with a white gel pen and fussy cut them out. I cut two panels using Mama Elephant's "Basic Rectangles" Creative cuts, the larger from black card stock and the smaller from white. I used the "Candy Store" stencil from Heffy Doodle, turned it on it's side slightly so the corner reached across my white panel. I masked off the rest of my panel where I didn't want to get ink before blending Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink over my stencil. I sprayed my panel with my distress sprayer, cleaned up the excess water before splattering my panel with the same ink. I cut a small panel using Honey Bee Stamps' "Double Stitched Polygons" Honey Cuts from white card and adhered my hamsters to it as I would be using this for my focal point. I adhered the two back ones using Scor-Tape and the middle with some 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I prepared a strip of black card stock with my powder tool applicator, stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using Lawn Fawn's white embossing powder. I adhered my black strip across my panel using Scor-Tape and popped my polygon with my hamsters up on the bottom left using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I adhered my panels together and on to a card base before finishing with some Ebony Black Nuvo drops.
For my second card I cut two panels once again using the "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant. I stamped the plant image across my panel using my Misti stamping tool and Gina K's Amalgam Jet black ink. I created masks for all three and covered them so I could ink blend over my images. I used a piece of scrap card stock to make my own stencil for this one using Honey Bee Stamps' "Double Stitched Circles" Honey Cuts, adhered this temporarily over my white panel and blended within the circle using Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed the circle with my distress sprayer, cleaned up the excess water, splattered it with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide Ink before lifting my stencil and removing the masks from my images. I coloured my images using my alcohol markers and added highlights with a white gel pen, I drew some gold lines across the plant pots also using a metallic chalk marker. I prepared a strip of black card stock with my powder tool applicator, stamped my sentiment from the "Tiny Terrarium" stamp set from Waffle Flower using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Lawn Fawn's white embossing powder. I trimmed down my sentiment and popped it up under my images using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I adhered my panels together and to my card base using Scor-Tape.
Thanks for reading lovelies! I'll see you next week with another card!
