Whimsical romance in Paris with Catherine Pooler

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Today, I'm showing one of the four cards I've created for the Papercraft Essentials magazine that came out on the 9th of June. This features the beautiful stamps and dies from Catherine Pooler from the Global Adventure Part Deux collection. This first card creates a shaker card within a scene, and just look at the ink blended sunset - so easy to do with Catherine Pooler inks. So let's get started!

Whimsical romance in Paris Written tutorial:

Horizontally mask off half of 6” ¾ square card base. To create the sunset, ink blend with a blending tool a sunset using the following Catherine Pooler Designs Ink colours: Shea Butter, Sparkling Berry, Pink Champagne and Juniper Mist. Make sure you leave ¼”  white border around the edge. For the ground, ink blend Juniper Mist and Black Jack ink over the lower half of the card base.
Using the Dreaming of France stamp set, stamp in Black Jack Ink the Eiffel tower stamp off to onside on the horizon line. To create the shaker window, die-cut a circle out of a square white card panel measuring at 4 ½” and adhere a piece of clear acetate behind the circle negative opening of the card panel.
On the back of the card panel add a layer of foam tape around the circle, ensuring you create an enclosed circle. Place a handful of sequins from the Catherine Pooler Paris Sequin Mix over the ink blended background and the adhere the card panel over the top enclosing the sequins inside the scene.
Stamp the table and chairs, along with the rose stamp, from the Dreaming of France stamp set in Black Jack Ink.Use a clear Tombow Brush pen to pick up ink from the same ink pad colours you created the ink blended background, and use the blender brush to colour the images in.
As you used the blender brush, the colour will start to fade and blend out allowing you to create depth and dimension. Use the coordinating dies to cut the images out and foam mount onto the front of the card. Finish off with adding a stamped sentiment strip using a sentiment from the Dreaming of France stamp set in Black Jack Ink
