Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. I absolutely love the Magnolia Blooms Collection from Yana Smakula with Spellbinders, so when I saw the new Anemone Blooms Collection that Yana recently release I knew I had to pick it up and play with it. What I love about these collections is how elegant and beautiful they are, making it effortless to make absolutely stunning cards! Today's post I'm creating foiled panels to die-cut from as I just love the new Satin Pastel Hot Foils. So, let's get started!
Written tutorial and photos for foiled panels to die-cut:
Start off by using the PinkFresh Solid Hot Foil Plate with white card to foil the whole card panel with the Pastel Coral colour foil from the Satin Pastel Hot Foil collection. Adhere a piece of double-sided adhesive sheet to the back of the panel, and then die-cut using the Anemone Blooms die from this. You'll need two of these.
In addition, die-cut the Anemone Blooms die from a piece of white card that also has double-sided adhesive sheet on the back. You will want 2 other white die-cuts to add dimension. Layer up 2 of the white outline die-cuts and add the satin pastel foiled outline on the top.
On the back of the last full white die-cut, add washi tape to the back to ensure on the inner pieces of the flower stay in place, and then adhere the layered outline on top. Repeat this one more time to get two full layered die-cut blooms.
Add some metallic watercolour paint splatter to a piece of Granite Hero Hues cardstock and add this to a white cardbase. Next, add the bloom die-cut pieces, allowing this to over hand and cut off a excess. Add the cut-offs to the remainder of the card to fill out the background.
For the sentiment, add a black layered die-cut using the Wonderful Script Sentiments die set from Spellbinders. For small sentiment, hot foil in black glimmer hot foil onto your foiled panel a sentiment from the Making Me Smile Sentiments Hot Foil Plate set. Lastly, finish off by embellishing the card with black sequins.
For this second card, it use the off-cuts to make a reverse of the flowers above. Use the shadow die outline that comes in the Anemone Blooms die-set and cut this out of Vellum.
Next, adhere the white die-cut out line before adhere the coral satin pastel hot foil die-cut inner pieces to fill the flower in. Foam mount this flower onto another Granite card panel splattered with metallic watercolour paint.
This card uses a script die from the Yana's Layered Script sentiment die-set and die cut several times, layering these up to add dimension. Once again, hot foil in black glimmer hot foil a sentiment using the Making a Smile Sentiments Glimmer hot foil plates and trim these down into thin strips.
Add the sentiments to the front with foam pads to add dimension and again embellish with black sequins to finish the card off.
