Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. When you look at a themed stamp set, you can often go along with creating using a colour theme that makes sense with the theme. And whilst those cards will always turn out great, it is just as fun to create with alternative colours for a change. Today I'm stamping with the Painted Leaves stamp set along with alternative colours than you'd expect to see with leaves for this bright and happy slimline cad.
Written and photos 'Alternative colour combo':
Start of by placing a piece of watercolour cardstock in to your MISTI along with two of the leaves from the Painted Leaves stamp set. Ink the leaves up with Sweet Sixteen ink and then spritz with water before stamping down.
The water will help create a soft muted look to your stamp as though the leaves really have been painted. Repeat this process with Flirty Fuchsia and Serenade ink. Next, use the co-ordinating dies to die-cut them out.
For the background, stamp the Light As A Feather stamp set onto a slimline card panel in Tranquil ink and trim this panel down. Next add the painted leaves onto the front of the card, trimming off any overhang and foam mount a few for added interest.
Foam mount the card panel onto a slimline card base and then add a heat embossed sentiment to the front on a strip of black card. Lastly, embellish with a few sequins to finish the card.
