No-line colouirng with reinkers - Catherine Pooler Designs Adorning Doves

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. I really cannot get enough of the Adorning Doves stamp and die set from the This Christmas collection from Catherine Pooler Designs. Although I have created several cards already with this set, I wanted to use it with some no-line colouring. Well, almost no line, you can still see a few, ha ha! However, this no-line look gives it a very soft and almost rustic style Christmas card, and thought the look paired beautifully with the Joyeux Noel from the stamp set.

Written and photos No-line colouirng with reinkers:

Stamp a selection of the stamps from the Adorning Doves stamp set in soft light ink. I went for Twilight ink which is the lightest grey ink from Catherine Pooler Designs. Her inks are water-reactive, so when you do no-line colouring, the colour will react and blend with your colouring.

Next, add a drop of Eucalyptus and Spruce ink from the reinkers onto an acrylic block as well as Twilight ink. With clean water and a paintbrush, pick up the colour and start colouring the images like you're watercolouring.

Once the colouring is complete, use the coordinating dies to cut out the images. Add foam pads to the back of the cutouts, using varying depths of foam pads to add interest in dimension. Cluster the leaves to one side around the Dove, perching on the leaves.

Stamp the 'Joyeux Noel' sentiment from the Adorning Doves stamp set in Black Jack ink. Lastly, embellish with a few gold sequin discs to embellish the card.
