Hello lovelies!
I'm back this week with a relatively simple encouragement card using Pink Fresh Studio's "Word Series: Dream" stamp set! I've always been called a dreamer and I'm typically drawn to the night sky, particularly the moon so when I saw this set I knew I'd get a lot of use from it straight away!
I cut a panel from white card stock using the second largest die from Mama Elephant's "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts and used Black Soot Distress Ink with some water to paint my panel. You could easily just use some black card stock for the base but I liked the added texture it gave my background! I used a combination of sponges and brushes to layer Dusty Concord and Broken China Distress Oxide Inks on different parts of my panel to give the look of a galaxy/night sky. I splattered it with white metallic watercolour paint and left it to dry for a moment while I cleaned up.
Once my splattering was dry I secured my panel in to my Misti and used my powder tool applicator so embossing powder would only stick to where I wanted it to. I used Versamark ink to stamp my sentiments, coated them in Lawn Fawn's White embossing powder and set them with my heat tool. I decided to paint the moon and clouds with metallic watercolour paints to make them pop against the background a little more.
I used the largest of the "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts to cut a panel from black card stock and adhered my other panel to it's centre before adhering this to my card base using Scor-Tape. I added some Ebony Black Nuvo drops for embellishment and set my card somewhere safe to allow them to dry overnight.
Thanks for reading lovelies! I'll see you next week with another card.
Claire
