Emboss resist CAS birthday card with Catherine Pooler Designs stamps, dies and inks!

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Emboss resist is one of the first techniques I learn with heat embossing, well after learning to heat emboss first I guess! But it is always one of the best embossing techniques there is!  This technique combined with ink blending will always create stunning backgrounds in minutes. So today, I've used some fabulous Catherine Pooler products to create an emboss resist CAS birthday card. My cards have been depleted recently, so I'm building my birthday card stash back up!

Written and photos Emboss resist CAS birthday card : 

Start off by heat embossing the Making Waves background stamp onto Azaela Hero Hues Cardstock with gold embossing powder. Next, using a blending brush, start to ink blend Sangria Ink over the embossed background, from the bottom to about 2 thirds of the way up. 
After, ink blend Merlot ink to the bottom third, blending this into Sangria Ink. After the blending is complete, buff the heat emboss clean with a dry cloth and then trim the panel down to foam mount the panel onto a cardbase.
