Hey lovelies!
I'm here with an extra post today as I wanted to publish this in time for Valentine's Day this week! This is my personal favourite of all the cards I've created for the occasion this year!
I'm here with an extra post today as I wanted to publish this in time for Valentine's Day this week! This is my personal favourite of all the cards I've created for the occasion this year!
I started by drawing a rough estimate I wanted the shape of my pile of letters to be. I took my small envelope stamp from Heffy Doodle's "Yappy Happy Mail" stamp set and stamped a couple along the bottom using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I created masks for the envelopes using some post it tape. I repeated the masking and stamping process until I was happy with how it looked.
I cut a section of the letters out with the second largest of Mama Elephant's "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts and proceeded to colour my envelopes with my alcohol markers. I added some white highlights to the hearts on the envelopes with a white gel pen and fussy cut the top edge.
I cut a panel using the same die from white card stock and blended Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink up from the bottom to the point where it would peek above the pile of letters. I blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink from the top of the panel and together with the Worn Lipstick before spraying the entire panel with my Distress Sprayer. Once my pink panel was completely dry I prepared it with my powder tool applicator as I wanted to emboss my sentiment. I stamped my sentiment from Mama Elephant's "Flying With Friends" stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink, coated it in clear embossing powder before setting it with my heat tool. I adhered my pile of letters flat to the bottom of the panel.
I stamped my pig image from Mama Elephant's "Hogs and Kisses" stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with my alcohol markers. I added some white highlights with my gel pen before fussy cutting him out also. I popped him up on my pile of letters using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape. I wanted to add some extra envelopes so I stamped, coloured and fussy cut a couple out separately before popping them up with foam tape around my pig and in the pile of letters for some added dimension. I cut a panel from white card stock using the largest of the "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts and blended it with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink, I distressed my panel with my Distress Sprayer and cleaned up the excess water. Once my panel was dry I adhered everything together to my card base.
Thanks for reading lovelies! I'll see you next on my usual posting day (Sunday)!
