Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. I went to a craft fair here in the UK recently and it was great just being able to look at craft products in person! Whilst I was there I had a look at the Distress oxides and I picked up a few of the more recent colours that have been released including Salvaged Patina and Saltwater Taffy. These colours pair well together as they are complementary colours. Saltwater Taffy is a Red-orange and Salvaged Patina is a Blue-green. This allows the pop of Saltwater taffy to act as an accent colour along with the Aura Gold foil. So let's get started!
Written and photos Saltwater Taffy as an accent colour:
Start off by foiling the PinkFresh Studio Folk Garden 2 Hot Foil plate in Aura Gold foil onto white card. Use the coordinating die to cut these out.
With a blending tool ink blend both Saltwater Taffy and Salvage Patina onto one end of the foiled die-cuts fading these out. In addition, ink blend Salvaged Patina onto a white card panel, blending and fading this out to white.
Add some metallic Teal and Gold paint splatters onto the card panel and foam mount onto a white card base. Add a white die-cut circle using the Scalloped Stitched circle die set hanging this off the egde.
Add the ink blended foil elements onto the card and add a foiled sentiment from the Be Bold Sentiments Hot Foil Plates. Finish by embellishing with colour corresponding sequins.
